Clara exists because the number at the top of your banking app does not tell you what is safe to spend. Clara shows you the bills, subscriptions, and days until payday that sit behind that number.

Money can look available when it is already committed

You can open your bank, see a positive balance, and still be short before payday. Direct debits have not landed yet. A subscription renews next week. A yearly payment is easy to forget. Most banking screens leave you to combine those facts in your head.

Clara connects those pieces. You see what is coming out, what has changed in your spending, and what is left after known commitments. The goal is not to tell you how to live. It is to give you a better number before you decide.

Built solo by James McGee

James McGee is 19 and the founder of JEMA Software Ltd. He built Clara solo after seeing how often money tools explain the past but leave the next decision to guesswork.

Building solo means the product is still deliberately focused. Clara starts with one useful question: what is safe to spend before payday? Budgets, subscriptions, spending patterns, and AI questions support that answer rather than competing with it.

You stay in control of your money and your data

Your bank connection stays read-only

Clara uses the transaction data needed to build your money view. Clara cannot move your money, make payments, or change anything in your bank account.

Your data is not for sale

JEMA Software Ltd does not sell your personal data. Your information is used to provide Clara, protect your account, and improve the service as explained in the privacy policy.

You can ask for your data

You can make a subject access request at no charge. You can also ask for corrections, deletion, or a portable copy where those UK GDPR rights apply.
